Joan Murray, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2026, at the age of 74, following a brief battle with cancer. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Joan was the beloved wife of Robert “Bob” Murray. For 54 years, Joan and Bob shared a life filled with love, family, friendship, and many cherished memories.

She is survived by her son, Elton Murray and his wife, Gina; and her daughter, Kelley (Murray) Silvestri and her significant other, Troy Demarco.

Joan was a proud grandmother to Anthony, Devon, Casey, Vincent, and Zariyah; step-granddaughter Ashley; and grandchildren by marriage, Quentin and Sofia. Her family was one of the greatest joys in her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Joyce Thibeault, and her younger sister, Kathy Thibeault.

She is survived by her sisters, Cynthia Bedard and her husband, Gerry; Martha Temple and her husband, Darrell; Linda Mosley and her husband, Charlie; and Rae Ellen Chute and her husband, Tim; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

In her earlier years, Joan worked as a bus monitor for children with special needs through Easter Seals. She had a caring heart and was always willing to help others in any way she could.

Joan found joy in the simple things in life. She loved camping with her husband, Bob, and daughter, Kelley, in their camper; going fishing; taking motorcycle rides with her husband; and doing crafts of all kinds. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and creating memories with the people she loved.

Joan was a kind, caring, and generous person who was adored by her family and friends. She never hesitated to lend a helping hand and was always there for those who needed her. Her loving heart, warm spirit, and beautiful presence touched the lives of so many.

Joan leaves behind a lifetime of love and memories that will be cherished forever. Though she will be greatly missed, her love will live on through her husband, children, grandchildren, sisters, extended family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

Rest peacefully, Joanie. You will be loved and missed always.

Assisting the family with arrangements is the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Manchester, NH.
