Joan R. Turner, 41, of 370 Amherst Street, died January 9, 2003 at the Hospice House in Concord. She was born in Edenborough Scotland on April 30, 1961, the daughter of Thomas and Gritley (Carter) Turner and had been a Manchester resident for most of her life. She had been employed by the Manchester School System as a bus driver. Prior to that she had worked as an associate for Wal-Mart. She was an active member of the First Assembly of God Church and was one of the churches first members. She had also been the coordinator of the Church's Singles Ministry . She enjoyed traveling. Family members include her mother of Manchester; two brothers, Patrick Brown of England and John Turner of Manchester; two sisters, Janet Turner and Elaine Parchment, both of Manchester; a half sister, Doris Grace of PA; and nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts and cousins. Funeral services will take place on Monday morning at 10:00 in the First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Garry L. Hamiltor, Senior Pastor officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the First Assembly of God Church, 227 Londonderry Turnpike, Hooksett, NH 03106.
