It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joanne Elaine (Maloney) Arsenault after a period of declining health. She was a woman full of strength, courage and perseverance.
A proud graduate of Central High School, she worked hard throughout her lifetime, finally settling into the food service industry where she worked for Castle Caterers for many years and eventually retiring from the kitchen at Concord Hospital.
Some of her favorite things included: Reading; Traveling; Going to Sailsbury Beach to get "Beach Pizza and Onion Rings," even if it was raining; Enjoying a big plate of spaghetti with meat sauce at Veano's Italian Kitchen in Pembroke; and Peanut Butter Kisses from Goldenrod in York Beach, Maine.
Once her grandchildren came along, she started a yearly tradition of going on a day trip to both Sailsbury and Hampton Beaches during April vacation. She loved watching the grandchildren (and now great grandchildren) play in the water and the sand, and always viewed their found treasures with excitement.
She was predeceased by her parents Lucienne and Bernard Maloney; her husband Paul Arsenault; Her sisters; Shirley Maloney, Pauline Labrie, Dorothy Gelinas and her husband Andre. Her brothers; Paul Cleveland and his wife Betty; Bernard Maloney and his wife Patricia; and Roger Maloney and his wife Sylvia. She was also predeceased by her infant daughter Cheryl Ann Deshaies, her infant great granddaughter Madeleine Rayne Woodard, her first husband Gerard Deshaies; and Her nieces: Karen Maloney and Catherine Trimble.
She is survived by her daughter Susan Houle and her husband Michael. Her granddaughter Randi Woodard; her grandson Peter Houle; and her great granddaughters; Raelynn Woodard and Leia (aka Lilla) Young. Her son Mark Deshaies, his wife Valerie and their children Kayleigh, Danny, and Charlie. She is also survived by her brother Robert Maloney and his wife Diane; and many family and friends.
