Joanne C. Belanger

Joanne Catherine (Arini) Belanger 73, of Manchester, died Saturday, January 12, 2013, after an unexpected emergency surgery. She was born in Roslindale, MA, on November 27, 1939, the daughter of John and Josephine (Palizzolo) Arini.

After graduating from Randolph High School (Class of 57) she enlisted into the Air Force where she met her husband Andre Robert Belanger of Manchester NH. She achieved the rank of Airman 2nd class in the medical corp. and received an honorable discharge. After the service she became a mother of three and went to work as a program engineer at Hadco Printed Circuits in Derry, NH where she enjoyed 33 years before retiring.

Joanne will be remembered for her kind disposition. She always made a positive, lasting impression on everyone who was fortunate enough to have had their lives touched by her. She was a devout Catholic and was an active member of the Ladies Guild at St Francis of Assisi Parish in Litchfield, NH. In her retirement she volunteered her time to charitable causes at New Horizons Soup Kitchen and The Elliot Hospital. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family and vacationing with her grandchildren and husband at the beach. She loved nature and was especially fond of her flower gardens and the wildlife they attracted. She was extremely proud of the closeness which was always present between all of her family members.

Joanne is survived by her husband of 53 years, Andre Robert Belanger, 73, of Manchester; two daughters, Laura Hinman and her husband Drew, of Holderness and Karen Sieler and her husband Jim, of Manchester; a son, Anthony Belanger and his fiancée, Kristin Stone, of Tilton; three Grandsons, Craig Belanger and his fiancée, Michelle Mehan of Rochester and Trevor and Joshua Sieler, of Manchester; a great granddaughter, Isabella Sophia Belanger, of Rochester; a sister, Concetta (Tina) Grasso, of Stoughton, MA; and a brother, Salvatore Arini, of Quincy, MA.

She was predeceased by her sister, Josephine (Teddy) O'Connell, of Randolph, MA.

It was her wish that all memorials be directed in the form of donations to her favorite charities: The NH Food Bank and The New Horizons Soup Kitchen.
