Joanne A. Butler

Joanne A. Butler, 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 15, 2019. Born in Lawrence, MA on November 16, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Hipolit and Joanna (Kovalik) Piepiora. Throughout her life, Joanne was a resident of Lawrence and Methuen, MA, Sandown, NH and Eustis, FL.

Joanne was raised and educated in Lawrence, MA. She raised her family in Sandown, NH, where she proudly helped to organize a Catholic community through St Anne Parish of Hampstead, NH. She and her husband, Sumner Butler, retired to Eustis, FL. Joanne was very social and she loved helping people; in her retirement community in Florida, she was nicknamed "meals on wheels" as she often would deliver homemade meals to her neighbors. Joanne enjoyed collecting antiques, gardening, fishing, playing slots and bingo, and cooking (especially her famous pierogis!). She loved traveling and created many fond memories going on cruises with family and friends.

Joanne leaves behind her children, Donna Taylor and her husband David of Naples, FL; Philip Caron Jr. of Sandown, NH; Diane Caron of Portsmouth, NH; Francis Caron of Raymond, NH; Brian Caron and his wife April Plante of Manchester, NH; eight grandchildren, Stephanie Brown, Shannon Caron, Philip Caron III, Kristen Adams, Richard Goldthwaite III, Misty Caron, Francis Caron Jr., and Brian "LB" Caron Jr.; ten great-grandchildren, Sophia Brown, Khloe Brown, Anthony Polacki, Sofia Polacki; Evan Caron, Cooper Caron, Josephine Adams, Hannah Brown, Jonathan Brown and Emma Caron; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Sumner Butler, and her siblings, Alfred, Francis, Joseph, Judith and Helen.
