John Louis Boynton, 74, of Littleton, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Born on November 14, 1951, in Littleton, he was the son of the late Louis E. and Virginia L. Boynton.

John married the love of his life, Tina M. Boynton, on October 11, 1986, in Woodsville. Together they built a life centered around family, hard work, and laughter.

John attended Littleton High School and later served a brief term in the military. He spent 28 years as an over-the-road truck driver before dedicating 20 years of service to the State of New Hampshire. After partially retiring, he worked for four years with Blacktop Paving.

John enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved fishing, hunting, working on his farm, and caring for animals. He especially enjoyed baked goods, particularly those made by his daughters. His favorite moments were spent surrounded by family, and he was well known for his love of playing the spoons and bringing smiles to those around him.

In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his younger brother, Wendell L. Boynton.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Tina M. Boynton of Littleton, NH; his faithful dog, Lady; his sister, Ida Hesseltine of Orlando, FL; his son, Johnnie Boynton of Woodsville, NH; his daughters, Monica LaFord and husband Johnathon LaFord of Woodsville, NH, and Ariel Tuck and fiancé Travis Jackson of Littleton, NH. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Shayne Hudson and wife Madeleine Strokis of Maryland; Carah Rugg and fiancé Justin Basnar of Summerville, South Carolina; Jorden Fadden and Caden Tuck of Littleton, NH; Johnnie, Janessa, Jacob, and Josh Sullivan of Berlin, NH; and Jeffery Cooper of Hiram, Maine. He is also survived by his great-granddaughters, Kinsley and Nataley Basnar of Summerville, South Carolina, and many loved nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held from 10 to 11AM with a service beginning at 11:00AM on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 101 Union St, Littleton NH, 03561. Services will be officiated by Rev. Lyn Winter. A Celebration of Life will follow at 12:45 PM, hosted by Ogontz, 14 Ogantz Rd, Lyman, NH, 03585.
