John "Jack" Clarke

John "Jack" Clarke, 85, of Manchester, NH, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on March 8, 2021. Born in Bangor, ME on October 2, 1935, he was one of eleven children to the late Joseph and Ida (Bush) Clarke.

Jack was raised and educated in Bangor, ME. He went on to serve in the United States Army in 1956, being honorably discharged in 1960. He spent most of his adult life in Manchester, NH, working for many years in environmental services at Elliot Hospital. Jack enjoyed his quiet time at home, cooking breakfast and keeping up on current events by watching news and reading the newspaper every morning. He loved the outdoors taking walks in the woods, enjoying spending time at the lake and especially fishing. He loved traveling and looked forward to seeing new sights in his yearly vacations.

Jack leaves behind his loving companion of 21 years, Zena Costache; his children, Jackie Christiansen, Sharon Stone and Danny Clarke; as well as several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 13th at 2pm at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH.
