John J. Connolly

John J. Connolly, 82, of 137 Lafayette Street, died October 25, 2002, at Catholic Medical Center. He was born in Manchester, NH on April 4, 1920, the son of the late Thomas and Ellen (Casey) Connolly and had been a lifelong resident of the Queen City. John worked 38 years for Waumbec Mills and worked ten years with Sanders Associates, retiring at the age of 70. Mr. Connolly enjoyed sports, being Irish and loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great granddaughter. Family members include his wife of 56 years, Claire (Robida) Connolly of Manchester, a son, Michael Connolly of Rochester Hills, Michigan, two daughters, Barbara Connolly of San Diego, California and Karen Mossman of Loudon, NH., two grandchidren; Krysten and Keri Mossman, a great granddaughter, Arianna Janosz-Mossman, all of Loudon, NH, several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue, Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 10 o'clock in the Parish of Transfiguration-St. Jean Baptist. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford. Donations may be made to the Diabetes Association, 6 Chennel Drive # 260, Concord, NH 03301 or to the American Kidney Foundation, 6110 Executive Boulevard, Rockville, MD 20852.
