John P. Dunlap, aged 79, passed away peacefully on the morning of April 4th, 2024 at his home in Candia, NH. He was born on March 26, 1945, and leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him. John is survived by his loving wife, Sandra M. Dunlap, and his two children, Michael Dunlap and Tammy Brown. John is also survived by several grandchildren, Parker, Gaven, Trevor, Emma, and Olivia. John is predeceased by his father Parker Dunlap, his mother Priscilla Dunlap (Robinson), and his sister Judith Hall.
John served his country as a member of the United States Navy aboard the USS Forrestal. Professionally, John was an electrician by trade and he spent many years at the Union Leader in Manchester, NH prior to his retirement.
Outside of his professional pursuits, John had a passion for golf that brought him joy and relaxation. In their retirement, John and Sandy travelled extensively and had the goal of playing golf in every continental state in the US. They accomplished this goal traveling the US in their RV with their two dogs, Buddy and KC.
John will be interred at the NH State Veteran Cemetery in Boscawen, NH. In lieu of services his family will be having a private celebration of life gathering.
John P. Dunlap touched the lives of many, and his quiet presence will be deeply missed. May he rest in peace, knowing he was loved and respected by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
