JOHN "JACK" F. FEENSTRA
EASTON, NH - John "Jack" F. Feenstra, 80, of Easton died Thursday, April 30, 2015 surrounded by his loving family, at the Lafayette Center, Franconia after a courageous battle with a long term illness.
He was born April 13, 1935 in Newport, NH the son of John and Eva (St.Cyr) Feenstra. He was educated in Newport, and after graduation he joined the United States Coast Guard.
Jack was employed with the Nashua Police Department in 1960, and then joined the ranks of the New Hampshire State Police in 1962, he retired as the Lieutenant of Troop A, Epping. He then worked for Tyco, Inc. of Exeter for 23 years. Jack was also employed with the United States Secret Service. His retirement years were spent with his wife, and love of his life.
Jack enjoyed weight lifting, hiking, winter sports, volunteering in his community, and most of all spending time with his family. He was always willing to lend a helping hand.
He leaves his loving wife of 53 years, Nancy of Easton; his son, Wayne Feenstra and wife Cheryl Feenstra of Palm Coast, FL; daughters, Debra Winters and husband Chuck Winters of Seabrook, Donna Feenstra of Littleton, and Cheryl Nedeau and husband Harry Nedeau of Center Harbor, as well as his grandson Jack Nedeau. He is survived by his brother, Leonard Feenstra of Newport and sister, Nancy Winter of Massachusetts.
SERVICES â Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 20th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Pillsbury Phaneuf Funeral Home, located at 101 Union Street in Littleton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 21st at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Franconia, NH with Rev. Fr. Mark Dollard as Celebrant.
