John G. Finn, Sr., 84, formerly of 127 Cypress Street, died December 24, 2000 at Ridgewood Center in Bedford. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 2, 1916, the son of the late William and Julia (Shaughnessy) Finn and had been a Manchester area resident since 1946. He was a real estate broker for many years and owned John Finn Associates. He was a World War II Army Air Corps Veteran and was a parishioner of St. Anthony Church. He was a member of the Blind Veterans Association and the Low Vision Group. Family members include his wife of 54 years, Marcelle (Dionne) Finn; four sons, John Finn of Largo, FL, William Finn and Paul Finn both of Manchester and David Finn of Nottingham; three daughters, Kathleen Rivet of Salem, Maureen Finn of Manchester and Karen Sheehan of Tewksbury, MA; twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren; two borthers, Rev. William Finn of Phildelphia, PA and Rev. Edward Finn of Equinox, PA; a sister, Rosaire Gillen of NY; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. Callings hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 10:00 in St. Anthony Church. After cremation, urn burial will take place in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
