JOHN A. GIOVAGNOLI John A. Giovagnoli, 83, of Manchester, NH, died December 4, 2007, at his home. Mr. Giovagnoli was born on December 24, 1923, in Trenton, NJ, the son of the late Pietro and Teresa (Avenelli) Giovagnoli. He was a resident of Manchester, for over 60 years. At the time of his employment, He worked at various construction companies in the area. For 60 years, Mr. Giovagnoli farmed his 60 plus acre spread, in Manchester. The pure joy in his life was riding his bike, spending time in his organic garden, spending time on the farm, traveling the world, dancing, and having breakfast with his buddies at McDonalds. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Army. Members of his family include, his 7 sons, John Giovagnoli, of Hollis, NH; William Giovagnoli, of Hampton; Gerald Giovagnoli, of Rhode Island; Peter Giovagnoli, of Manchester; Daniel Giovagnoli, of Auburn, NH; Thomas Giovagnoli, of Dunbarton, NH; David Giovagnoli, of Manchester; 3 daughters, Elaine Dolbec, of Manchester; Dianne Officer, of Maryland; Jean Duffy, of Manchester, 19 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Dominic Giovagnoli, of New Jersey; 4 sisters Mary, Edith, Elvira, and Evelyn, all of New Jersey; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Giovagnoli was predeceased by his wife, Laurette Giovagnoli, who died in May 2004, and by his son, Michael Giovagnoli. Calling hours will be Friday, December 7, from 2 to 4 P.M. and in the evening from 6 to 9 P.M. at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. A Memorial service will be Saturday, December 8, 10 A.M. in the funeral home chapel.
