John G. Goodrich, 77, formerly of 38 Ministerial Branch, Bedford, died June 11, 2003 at the Franklin Hospital. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT on May 12, 1926, the son of Neil and Alice (Latham) Goodrich and had been living in the Veterans Home in Tilton. He had also been a resident of Candia for over 30 years before moving to Bedford six years ago. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and a Korean War Marine Corps Veteran. He was a 1948 graduate of Yale University. He owned and operated Goodrich Supply Company, Inc., in Candia for 17 years. He was a member and past President of the New Hampshire Safety Council. He served on the Candia Town Planning Board. He was the widower of Janet (Werner) Goodrich who died in 1999. Family members include two sons, David L. Goodrich of Raleigh, NC and Jeffrey M. Goodrich of Concord; two step-sons, Jeffrey B. Brown of Weare and Peter R. Brown of Newton, MA; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Joseph Goodrich of Warwick, RI, Neil Goodrich II of Moncks Corner, SC and Sydney Goodrich of West Willington, NC; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Saturday, June 21 from 2 to 4 PM with the funeral service conducted at 3:00 in the funeral home chapel.
