John Henry ''Jack'' Hartman, 69, of 38 Pincrest Drive, Bedford, NH died on August 11, 2002 in Laconia. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on March 11, 1933, the son of the late Bryson and Ida (Pippert) Hartman and had been a resident of Bedford for the past 30 years. Mr. Hartman was a U. S. Air Force Veteran. He was a graduate of the University of Arizona and received his Mechanical Engineer Degree. He was a pilot for over 25 years with American Airlines retiring as a Captain. Jack and his wife have wintered the past five years in Tucson, Arizona. Jack enjoyed flying, sailing,astronomy and archeology. Family members include his wife of 36 years, Karen (Hoxworth) Hartman; a son, Kevin J. Hartman of Bedford, NH, a daughter, Mrs. Ted (Kimberly) Colligan of Wardsboro, Vermont, one grandchild, a sister, Mary Lea Jones of Anaheim, California, several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial reception at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Bedford Chapel, Bedford Village Shoppes, 172 Rte 101, Bedford, NH on Thursday from 5 to 8 PM. A memorial funeral service will be held at the Phaneuf Bedford Arrangment funeral home chapel on Friday morning at 11:30 o'clock. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jack's memory to the Habitate For Humanity, 621 W. Lefter, Tucson, Arizona 85705.
