John J. Hinds

John J. Hinds, 70, of Derry, NH, passed away after a period of illness on July 30^th, 2023, with family at his side. He was born on January 4^th, 1953, to the late William & Marion (Bradley) Hinds.

Born and raised in Long Island, NY, he would later settle in New Hampshire in the 1970’s where he would call his home. During the Vietnam War, John was drafted into the Navy, where he served with dedication and valor. After his military service, he found his passion for machining, which became his lifelong career. A skilled machinist, John made his mark in the world with his extraordinary talent for crafting and engineering, and was known to be able to build anything from blueprints.

Outside of work, John's interests evolved over the years. In his youth, he was an avid boxing enthusiast, demonstrating fierce determination in and out of the ring. As time passed, he found solace in nature and developed a profound love for fishing, cherishing moments spent outdoors, surrounded by the beauty of the New Hampshire landscape.

John leaves behind his beloved daughter Michelle Pace; best friend Judy Gschwind; grandson Tony and his wife Mikayla; brother Bobby Hinds; great grandson Luca; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

John will be laid to rest privately at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
