John "Jack" W. Martignetti

John William Martignetti, known to friends and family as Jack, was born on March 1, 1948, in Littleton, NH. He passed away peacefully on August 5, 2024, at his home in Bethlehem, NH, after a hard fought 39-year battle with multiple sclerosis. He was 76 years old. He was the son of John B. Martignetti and Elizabeth Martignetti.

Jack attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic School, Bethlehem Middle School, and the Littleton High School. He served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps from 1967 to 1970. He was married on September 18, 2003, to Mary (Cook) Martignetti in Littleton, NH.

Jack enjoyed gardening, growing beautiful flowers and trips to Vegas with his wife when he was able. He also enjoyed all the good times he had with his many friends and family.

He was predeceased by his parents, his two sisters, Gail Nutile, Linda and her husband, Marian Gawel, and Sandra Poling, who was like a sister to Jack, and her husband, Wilford Poling.

Jack is survived by his wife, Mary Martignetti, his stepsons, Ron D. Cook and Brian C. Lucas, his niece, Janelle Lavoie, his nephews, Garrett Lavoie, Stephen Nutile, John McCauley, and Lawrence Nutile, and his step-grandchildren, Paul Cook, Rachel Cook, William Lucas, and Landon Lucas.

The family extends their gratitude to his caregivers, Crystal Kimball Dubois, Samantha Sullivan, Michelle Turcotte-Smail, Connie Thompson, and Terri Scott for all the love and support they have given to Jack over the years. The family also appreciates the loving care given to Jack by the staff from North Country Home Health and Hospice, the Grafton County Nursing Home, the Elmwood Nursing Home, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, and Littleton Regional Healthcare.

There will be a graveside service at the Maple Street Cemetery in Bethlehem, NH on Monday, August 19 beginning at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the Disabled American Veterans and/or the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
