John S. Kanlis

John S. Kanlis, 72, of Hooksett, passed away on August 15, 2014 at Parkland Medical Center.

He was born in Lavous, Greece on August 29, 1942, the son of Steven and Arete (Krideras) Kanlis. He was a United States Army Veteran. For over 30 years he owned and operated Kanlis Real Estate Agency. He enjoyed watching hockey, baseball and football. He adored his grandchildren and loved spending time with his family.

Family members include his wife of 47 years Colette (Laforge) Kanlis; three daughters, Melissa "Missy" Klocek and her husband Scott of Auburn, Linda Roberge of Manchester, and Jessica Wallin and her husband Erik of Auburn; six grandchildren, Crystal, Amanda, Nicole, Courtney, Jonathan, and Benjamin; a sister, Maria Bedard of Manchester; and nephews, nieces and cousins.

A gathering will take place at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester on Wednesday from 10 to 11 AM with a memorial service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:00. Committal services with military honors will take place at 12:30 in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
