John Patrick King, born on August 19, 1939 in Boston, left this world on June 2, 2022 with only two regrets: 1. He never got to rebuild a diesel engine. And 2. He never took the opportunity to learn ancient Greek. Throughout his many lives he was a world traveler, a scholar, and a teacher. He kept bees, repaired small engines, sheared sheep, and was a master electrician and gardener as well as a social agitator. His motto was, “Each day is a chance to be good and do good.” He was most grateful to have a loving marriage and three wonderful offspring late in life. He leaves behind his wife, Brigid McNamee, and three children, Patrick, Mairead, and Reagan McNameeKing. The eldest of seven, John is predeceased by his brother Paul, and is survived by his siblings Theresa, Betty, Patsy, Michael, and Kevin.
