John M. Lessard

John M. Lessard passed away on August 22, 2021 at Catholic Medical Center after a short, sudden illness. His loving wife Sue (Sullivan) Lessard was at his side. While they would have celebrated 13 loving years together on August 23rd , his spirit will live on every day.

John was born on July 27th, 1955, the son of the late Lionel and Alice (Adams) Lessard. In addition to his wife Sue, he is survived by his daughter Samantha McCarty and her partner Steven Foden; his step-children Jodie and Tony Nazaka; his sister Maddy (Lessard) Rattigan and husband Robert; his brother Ronald and wife Jan; and his newborn granddaughter, Wellow Opal Foden and grandson, Jaxyn Levandowski. He is predeceased by his brother Robert. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and good friends.

John lived in Manchester, NH most of his life. He and Sue also resided in The Weirs, NH, Hillsborough, NH, and Daytona Beach, FL. John worked in the automobile industry, taking pride in his auto body and painting skills. He was a jack of all trades and, with a likeness to MacGyver, was seemingly able to fix it all. He and his brother Bob had a passion for stock car racing at Hudson and Star Speedways, driving car #11.

Upon retirement, John and Sue successfully renovated and flipped several houses. He also enjoyed riding his electric bicycle on Daytona beaches with his loving wife, campfires with friends, and helping anyone who asked.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 27th from 2-3pm at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester with a memorial service beginning at 3pm. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment will be held privately.

In place of flowers, well-wishers are encouraged to remember John’s kindness and willingness to help those in need.
