John C. Mcgovern

John McGovern, 86, of Chapleau Avenue, Manchester, NH died April 25, 2002, at Catholic Medical Center. He was born in Manchester on December 20, 1915, the son of John Thomas and Mary (Clark) McGovern and had been a lifelong resident of the Queen City. He worked at Waumbec Mill and retired from Manchester Housing. Family members include his wife, Barbara (Howes) McGovern of Manchester, two daughters, Cynthia McGovern of Kittery, Maine and Mary St.Onge of Manchester, his step son Lee Gray of Noble, Oklahoma, a step daughter Barbara Ann Forcier of Manchester, three grandchildren, two step grandchildren, four step great grandchildren, a sister Kathryn Zinno of DelRay Beach, Florida, several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Patrick Church. After cremation, burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association, Home Hospice, 1850 Elm St., Manchester, NH 03104
