John Miner 

March 5, 1947 – September 6, 2026

John Miner, 79, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Troy, New York, on March 5, 1947, John spent much of his life between Troy and Manchester, New Hampshire, maintaining deep family roots in both communities. Wherever he was, family was always at the heart of his life. 

John was, above all else, a family man. He poured his love into his children and grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with the people he loved. His greatest joy was simply being surrounded by family and friends, sharing time together and making memories. He was especially devoted to his grandchildren and his great-granddaughter, Analeya, who held a very special place in his heart. 

He and his wife, Florence, had been together since he was just 16 years old, and married for 38 years. Together, they built a stable, loving relationship that remained strong throughout their many years together. Throughout his working life, John worked as a paver and was also a chef for over 20 years, and worked in his family business. He was a hardworking man who took pride in providing for and caring for those closest to him.

 John enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He had a particular love for cars, especially old-fashioned automobiles, and took great pride in keeping and maintaining them. One special car, affectionately named “Angel Baby,” was among his favorites. He also enjoyed dancing and spending time with friends and family. John never needed much to be happy, good company, the people he loved, and time together were more than enough. John will be remembered for his loving heart, his loyalty, his devotion to his family, and the simple, genuine way he lived his life. 

He leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through the many lives he touched. John is survived by his beloved wife, Florence Miner; his son, John Miner and his wife Melissa; his daughter, Lisa Miner; his brothers, Jimmy, Bobby, and Billy; his sister, Nancy; his sister-in-law, Darlene Richards; his grandchildren, Brandon, Nathan, Alexis, Alex, John, Aliyah, Angel, Olivia, Sean, and Shania; and his great-granddaughters, Analeya and Charlotte. He is also survived by his dear friend and brother at heart, Big Bill, and close friends Lil Jamie and William Richards. 

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Angelina, and his son-in-law, Bernie. John's family and friends will forever cherish the memories they shared with him and carry his love with them. His presence will be deeply missed, but the love he gave so freely will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
