John S. Noyes

John S. Noyes, 66, of 144 Exchange Avenue, died February 1, 2005 at the Elliot Hospital. He was born in Stewartstown on May 10, 1938, the son of Chester and Dorothea (Smith) Noyes and had been a Manchester resident for the past 30 years. He worked for Ingersoll Rand as a welder for 25 years. After that, he owned and operated the Circa 1906 convenience store until his retirement. He was an avid gardener, cook and fisherman who enjoyed all outdoor activities, especially hunting and snowmobiling. Past memberships include the Future Farmers of America and the American Welding Society. Family members include his wife of 45 years, Alice (Daley) Noyes; his mother of Sun City, AZ; two sons, John Paul Noyes, OD of PA and Chester Noyes of Manchester; two daughters, Janet Byrne and Cathy Feirick, both of Manchester; four grandchildren; two brothers, James Noyes of AZ and William Noyes of FL; a sister, Jane Holbrook of PA; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 8:00 PM.
