John L. Stratton, Sr., 56, of 636 Rimmon Street, died August 15, 2003 at Catholic Medical Center. He was born in Manchester on March 27, 1947, the son of the late Leon Stratton and Anne Marie (Hebert) Stratton of Manchester. He had been employed as the chief engineer at the Ramada Inn. He was a parishioner of St. Raphael Church. He loved to fish and barbecue. Family members, in additiona to his mother, include his wife of 35 years, Constance (Richard) Stratton, five sons, John Stratton Jr., Alan Stratton, Adam Stratton, Christopher Stratton and Brian Stratton, all of Manchester; four daughters, Elizabeth Carney of Clarksville, Samantha Stratton, Jennifer Stratton and Tabitha Stratton, all of Manchester; eleven grandchildren, Megan Stratton, Sarah Stratton, Dale Stratton, Justin Stratton, Tyler Stratton, John Stratton, Jr., Sean Stratton, William Carney, Dylan Carney, Felicia Carney and Yazmin Stratton; four brothers, Archie Stratton, Richard Stratton, Paul Stratton and Marcel Stratton, all of Manchester; three sisters, Claire Britton, Claudette Kohler and Helen Villiard all of Manchester; and many nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts and cousins. Calling hours were at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue on Tuesday morning from 8 to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 in St. Raphael Church. Burial will follow in St. Augustin Cemetery.
