Mr. John Vieira Jr., 80, of Manchester, died November 12, 2009 at the Arbors of Bedford following a long illness. He was born on October 24, 1929 in Manchester, NH the son of the late John Vieira Sr. and Caroline (Gomes) Vieira. He was raised and educated in Manchester. Mr. Vieira graduated from West High School in 1947. He was a lifelong resident. Mr. Vieira worked at Manchester Hosiery, where he met his future wife Constance. He later worked at Chicopee Mills for many years. John had also worked at Auclair Trucking where he was a member of the teamster's local 633. He was a member of the National Guard. Mr. Vieira was a dedicated husband and father. He is survived by his son, Ernest Vieira of Rocky Point, NC; two daughters, Linda Marston of Manchester and Denise Moulis of Manchester; 3 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Edward Vieira of Manchester and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Constance (Maheu) Vieira who died March 5, 1993. Calling Hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 250 Coolidge Ave, Manchester on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00AM at Blessed Sacrament Church, Elm St, Manchester. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
