John Wayne Wheeler

John Wayne Wheeler, 57, of Boscawen New Hampshire, unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022.  He was born October 9, 1965 in Concord, NH. 

John is survived by his son Jeffrey (Lindsay) Wheeler and his two grandchildren, Charlie and Brock. Daughter Heather Wheeler, Sisters Jane (Jean) Leblanc and Audrey (Craig) Bridges, Brother Glen (Mary Jane) Wheeler, and many Nieces and Nephews. He also leaves behind his friend and caretaker of 7 years Amy Strand. John was predeceased by his parents, Wayne (Katherine) Wheeler, and Brothers, Curt and Thomas Wheeler. 

John graduated from Concord High School in 1983. He went on to Laconia Technical Institute where he completed the Electrical Apprentice Program. In 1988 he became a Journeyman Electrician and later earned his Master's Electrician license. John worked as a state employee for 32 years, which included the last 19 years at the New Hampshire State Hospital. The last 10 acting as supervisor of operations of the Life Safety Shop, the Electrical Shop and the night Maintenace shop.  

He was very knowledgeable in all facets of life, and always willing to offer his opinion and a helping hand. John was a great storyteller, no matter how many times he told the same story over and over again. He loved York Beach, Nascar, trips to races and down to Florida. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his two grandsons “The Boy-O's”.  

SERVICES: A Memorial Gathering will be held from 4-6 pm on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 172 King Street in Boscawen, NH, there will be a time to share remembrances and stories starting at 5pm.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Penacook Rescue Squad.
