John L. Wise
John L. Wise of Brattleboro, Vermont (formerly of Wilmington, VT) passed away January 22, 2014. He was the son of Johnny and Sylvia Wise. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on April 4, 1949.
In his earlier years, John was self-employed as a carpenter and known as one of the best finish carpenters in the area. He loved time with family and his Grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR and spending as many hours in the woods as possible. John was a proud member of the US Marine Corps and served in the Vietnam War.
He is predeceased by his mother, Sylvia Wise; as well as a brother, Gary Wise Sr.
John is survived by his former wife, Christine Wise of North Bend, OR; a daughter Kristy Wise Spini, her husband Byron, their children, Spencer and Kade Spini of North Bend, OR; his son, Travis Wise, his girlfriend, Jennifer Cannistraci and their son, Skyler John Wise of Claremont, NH; and his son Jonathan Wise and wife Melissa Wise of Newfane, VT.
According to John's wishes, there will be no services. John wished to be returned to one of his favorite hunting grounds. His family will meet at a later date to honor his last request. There will also be a gathering of friends and family at that time, to honor his life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John's name to the Marine Corps League.
