Jorge A. Otero, “Tarzan” “Granddaddy” “Pops” 76, of Hooksett, NH died on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at the Elliot Hospital, in Manchester, NH.
Jorge was born on November 14, 1947, in Dorado, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Alberto and Julia (Oquendo) Otero.
Prior to his retirement, Jorge was employed as a machinist and worked for Circuit Connect.
He had a love for his motorcycle and his many prized vehicles. Spending time with his family and hosting many pig roasts. He was lovingly known as Pops to so many, his smile and laughter leaving a mark on everyone. Everyone has a favorite story of his crazy antics, and his Spanglish that made everything even better. If we could hear him now he’d be saying aww Mang.
Members of his family include; his wife of 55 ½ years, Lynda Otero, of Hooksett, NH; three sons, George and Daniel Otero, both of Manchester, NH; David Otero and his wife Lisa, of Bedford, NH; 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, a brother, Luis Otero, of Springfield, MA; two sisters, Bernada “Piggy” Otero, of Dorado, PR; many nieces and nephews. Jorge was predeceased by his sister, Carmen Otero.
SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 11 a.m.to 2 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue, in Manchester. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
