Joseph M. Cecchetti

Joseph M. Cecchetti, 72, of Auburn, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, May 23, 2022.

Joe was born on December 20, 1949, in Manchester, NH, to the late Joseph S. and Stella (Lepkowski) Cecchetti.

Prior to his retirement, Mr. Cecchetti was employed by Hannaford Supermarket Company where he held the position of dairy manager. After retirement he worked part-time at Walmart building bicycles.

Joe was an avid duck hunter, enjoyed fishing, yardwork, and loved a good game of pool (especially with his brother Mike who predeceased him in 2014). He also enjoyed spending time metal detecting with his son Matt and spending time with his family and friends. He was a veteran and served in the New Hampshire Army National Guard.

He is survived by his wife, Diane G. (Houle) Cecchetti, of 46 years, daughter Kristen D Cecchetti , son Matthew J. Cecchetti, Papa to grand-daughter Josephine Cecchetti, his sister Cindy Poulin and her husband Alan and Aunt Wanda Caddel of Freeport. Fla. Also, he is survived by several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, June 8th, at 10:00 AM at Auburn Village Cemetery in Auburn, NH. Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Manchester, is assisting the family with arrangements.
