Joseph A.M. Cholette, 86, of 51 Gove Street, Manchester, died February 14, 2002, at Harborside Crestwood, Milford, NH. He was born January 13, 1916, in Montreal, PQ Canada, the son of the late Cleophas and Rosana (Lamoureux) Cholette and had been a resident of Manchester for most of his life. He served in the US Army and the Air Force, during WW II and Panama. He was a member of the American Legion Post 79 and the Circle National. Joseph worked at Grenier Field for many years and then New Boston Tracking Station. He was a parishioner of St. Edmond Church, was a avid golfer and a member of the Derryfield Country Club. Mr. Cholette enjoyed traveling and camping. Joseph attended Easter Seals Day Program. He has been wintering in Florida with his wife for the past 20 years. Family members include his wife of 56 years Juliette (Roy) Cholette of Manchester, two daughters, Priscilla Plumpton of Manchester and Claire Kazanowski of Goffstown, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three brothers Gerard Cholette, Joe Cholette, both of Manchester and Richard Cholette of Suncook, three sisters Madeleine Martin, Lorraine Buchenauer and Marie Dargie, all of Manchester, several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at noon in St. Edmond Church. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
