Joseph Desharnais

Joseph R. Desharnais, 62, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Catholic Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Los Angeles, CA, he is the son of Rose (Cippilo) Buonopane and the late Joseph Desharnais.

A dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Joe's family was paramount in his life. He cherished time spent with his family and dear friends. An avid outdoorsman, Joe loved to ride his motorcycle and go fishing. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, tinkering around the house and restoring his 1950 Ford F1 truck. Joe will be best remembered for his zest for life and love of family.

Joe is survived by his wife, Nancy (Price) Desharnais; 3 children, Jonathan Desharnais of Clearwater, FL, Ashley Desharnais of Manchester and Amy Desharnais of Manchester. Also survived by 3 step children that he loved as his own, Brian Holmes of Manchester, Kelly Holmes of Manchester and Meaghan Lacerte of Manchester; five grandchildren; mother, Rose Buonopane; several siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Joe was predeceased by his father, Joseph Desharnais; and his wife, Margaret Desharnais.

ARRANGEMENTS: His Memorial Gathering will be held in the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, on Monday, March 19, from 4:00 to 7:00P.M. Friends and relatives invited. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Joe's memory to Families in Transition, 122 Market St., Manchester, NH 03101, to provide beds to the children in the program in honor of Joe Desharnais.
