Joseph H. Eastwood

MANCHESTER – Joseph H Eastwood, 60, died Saturday, November 3, 2007, at Tufts New England Medical Center, in Boston after a lengthy battle with heart disease. Mr. Eastwood was born on February 14, 1947, in Providence, RI, the son of the late Herbert and Mary (Hardin) Eastwood. He was a life long resident of Manchester and Hooksett for most of his life. He graduated in 1965, from Central High School and played football there. He then attended Keene State College and New Hampshire College. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Eastwood was employed as an advertising salesman for various radio stations in the area. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the United States Navy. Members of his family include, his wife, of 18 years, Virginia (Ferreira) Eastwood, of Manchester; 2 stepchildren, Scott H. Hermsdorf and Kerry A. Untiet, both of Manchester; 2 brothers, Arthur Eastwood, of Bedford; Michael Eastwood, of Southport, ME; several nieces and nephews. IN HIS LIFE: Other family members include; 3 grandchildren, Zhaakre Sheehan, of South Portland, ME; Tessa Untiet and Collin Untiet, both of Manchester. There are no calling hours or services planned. It has been suggested that those who wish may make memorial gifts to The Manchester Animal Shelter, 490 Dunbarton Road, Manchester, NH 03102, in memory of Mr. Eastwood.
