JOSEPH EMILE GAGNON
LITTLETON -- Joseph E. Gagnon, 77, of Union Street, passed away on November 15, 2003 at Littleton Regional Hospital after a long illness in the comfort of his family.
Joseph was born a son of Euclide and Emilia (LaFrance) Gagnon on April 14, 1926 in Berlin, NH.
He attended school in Berlin and later moved to Lincoln to work at the Lincoln Paper Mill. He then moved to Littleton and was employed by Curran Lavoie Construction as a bridge builder. Joseph became involved in detail oriented wood carpentry and had a passion for building things. He was also a hunter.
Surviving family members include his wife, Irene (Bilodeau) Gagnon of Littleton, NH; one son, Leo Gagnon of Norway, ME, two daughters, Pamela Haynes and Josephine Remington both of Littleton, NH; two stepchildren, Jeff Richards and Lisa Richards of Littleton, NH; three brothers, Raoul Gagnon of Dummer, NH, Omar Gagnon of Gorham, NH, and Richard Gagnon of Webster, NH; four sisters, Elizabeth Chaisson of Northfield, NH, Juliette Dubreuil of Berlin, NH, Clara Collins of Berlin, NH, and Theresa Holmes of Gorham, NH; four grandchildren, and one step-granddaughter. Josephs first wife, Frieda (Wiggett) Gagnon and one sister, Margaret Gagnon predeceased him.
SERVICES The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday evening, November 17th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Pillsbury Funeral Home, 101 Union Street, Littleton. Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 18th at 10:00 a.m. in the Glenwood Cemetery in Littleton with Rev. Fr. Roger Bilodeau as Celebrant.
