Joseph Bernard Howe passed away on September 29, 2023, at the Littleton Hospital. Joseph was born on November 22, 1946, and raised in Littleton.
Joseph attended the St. Rose of Lima Catholic School, where he developed a strong foundation of faith and service that guided him throughout his life. After high school, he proudly served four years in the medical unit of the Navy.
Following his honorable discharge, Joseph returned to his hometown and began a long and varied career in the hospitality industry. He worked at Thayers Inn as the chief bartender. Joseph also contributed his talents to the Littleton Diner and Hillwinds in Franconia, before becoming the head chef at the Eastgate in Littleton. His culinary expertise and creative flair in the kitchen delighted many and created lasting memories for those who enjoyed his meals.
In addition to his work in hospitality, Joseph was known for his meticulous bookkeeping skills, providing invaluable services to numerous businesses in the Littleton area. His attention to detail and unwavering integrity made him a trusted figure in the local business community.
He is predeceased by his father, Bernard J. Howe, mother, Lillian F. Howe, his sister, Lillian L. Howe, and his adopted son, Tony Greenwood Sr.
Joseph will be loved and remembered by his brother, Wayne W. Howe, nephew, Joshua W. Howe and his wife, Josie, his nieces, Sandra Boynton, Angela Timson, Holly Wentworth, and Linda Bartlett.
A graveside service will be held at the St. Matthews Cemetery in Whitefield/ Dalton, NH on Saturday September 14, 2024 beginning at 11AM.

St. Matthews Cemetery
The cemetery is located across from Ridgeview Terrace. It is on the town line between Dalton and Whitefield on Elm St which becomes Whitefield Rd in Dalton. Google doesn't have it quite right. It is on the west side of Elm St.
