Joseph A. Lajewski, born November 24, 1976, in Manchester, New Hampshire, passed away on August 7, 2026.

Joe was the son of Anthony and Claire Lajewski. He is survived by his wife, Katie Lajewski, with whom he raised their two sons, Ethan and Jacob, who were at the very heart of his life. Joe found immense joy in being a father, and his devotion to his boys stood above all else. Their happiness and success were his greatest sources of pride. He also leaves behind his sister Michele Lindbom and her husband Dan, whom he considered a brother; sister Nicole Couilliard; his nieces and nephews; and many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

Joe’s professional life was marked by a deep commitment to energy efficiency. After graduating from Franklin Pierce College, he spent many years working as an energy efficiency program coordinator. His colleagues and peers, as well as friends and family, will remember his passion for this important work and his dedication to educating others about the value of energy conservation and efficiency.

Joe took great pride in his service to his country through his time in the United States Army and the Army Reserve, following in the military footsteps of his sister Nicole, father and grandfather.

Outside of work, Joe cherished time spent outdoors, especially hiking with his children. He loved traveling for Ethan’s soccer tournaments and annual April vacation trips with his family and friends. He also had a deep affection for animals, particularly his beloved chickens. He loved attending his sons’ sporting events and never missed an opportunity to cheer them on from the sidelines. Joe was incredibly passionate about youth sports and for many years he coached his children in soccer, basketball and baseball. Joe dedicated years to the boards of North Manchester Hooksett Little League, Hooksett Youth Basketball League and Hooksett Youth Athletic Association.

Joe loved talking politics and didn’t hesitate to share his knowledge or opinion on any topic. He will be remembered as a very generous and giving friend. And above all, Joe will be remembered for the love and devotion he had for his family, especially his two sons. His presence, encouragement, and unwavering pride in his boys will remain a lasting part of their lives and the lives of all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Joe's Life will be held on Sunday, August 23 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium – Hanover, 243 Hanover St, Manchester, NH 03104. A Graveside Service will follow on Monday, August 24, at 10:00 a.m. at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen, NH 03303.
