Joseph L. Marcel Lemay, 85, died February 10, 2007 at the New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton, NH. He was born May 19, 1921 in Manchester, NH the son of Joseph A. and Clorilda Martineau Lemay. He retired from General Electric Inc. in Hooksett after 20 years of service as a Quality Control Inspector. Mr. Lemay was a lifelong resident of Manchester, NH. He was a US Army vet of WWII. Mr. Lemay was a life member of the Knights of Columbus Council #5163 and was a past Grand Knight. He was also a past Navigator of the Bishop Brady Assemblies. He was also a member of the League of 1, 000 Men of the Monastery of the Precious Blood. Mr. Lemay was pre-deceased by his wife Yvette C. Lemieux who died in 2002. Family members include two sons; Robert A Lemay of Riverside, California and Raymond A Lemay of Manchester, NH; two daughters Irene C Deschenes of Nashua, NH and Doris Petrain of Manchester, NH; Thirteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be Tuesday 2-4pm, 7-9pm at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St, corner of Union St. Manchester.
