Joseph Schlembach

Joe Schlembach of Hinsdale, N.H. passed away on Tuesday, January 1st, 2019.

He was born on February 23, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Joseph and Anna Mae (Zinmeister) Schlembach.

Joe and his family resided in Queens, NY where he later enlisted in the United States Army on January 18th, 1966, and served 2 years leaving with an honorable discharge and the rank of SP4 in January of 1968.

He was a former employee of Consolidated Edison for 35 years, upon retiring to Hinsdale, NH in May of 2008. Joe loved boating and fishing and listening to the oldies of the 50's and 60's. Joe also loved collecting cars and going to car shows.

He is survived by his wife Catherine Schlembach, of 29 years. Children Michael Schlembach, Tracy Schlembach, Kathleen Bayer, Ronald Bayer and Daniel Bayer. Grandchildren Brittany Bayer, Ryan Bayer, Olivia Bayer-Buchell, Dylan Bayer and Broly Bayer. Great Grandchildren; Joseph Valenza, Jordan Valenza and Briella Valenza.

Friends may call at the Ker Phaneuf Funeral Home in Brattleboro from 4:00pm-8:00pm Monday January 7th & Tuesday January 8th, from 4:00p-7:00pm with a service starting at 7:00pm.
