Joseph A. Silva, Sr., 69, of 627 South Main Street, Nashua, NH, died July 29, 2006 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua. He was born in Boston, MA on May 16, 1937, the son of Manuel and Francis Silva. He resided in Arlington, MA for many years before moving to Nashua 25 years ago. He was a 27 year U.S. Army Veteran. He had worked as a salesman for MacMulkin Chevrolet and then at Merchants Motors for ten years until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, going to Las Vegas and spending time with his family and extended family. He also loved to gather with his friends at Dunkin Doughnuts in Nashua every morning. Silva, Jr., of Manchester and his wife Debbie, Scott Silva of Huntington Beach, CA, Kristopher Silva of Milford, Matt Silva and his wife Courtney of Dover, NH and Nathan Jerauld of Amherst, NH; a daughter, Sharon Deinhart and her husband Mark of Indianapolis, IN; five grandchildren, Jolynn Silva, Shannon Silva and Joey Silva all of Manchester, A.J. Dienhart of Indianapolis, IN and Alexis Silva of Dover; three sisters, Diane Knight of Salem, NH, Marilyn Felice of Arlington, MA and Debbie Makrys of Reading, MA; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester on Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday morning at 10:00 with military honors to follow.
