JOSEPH W. SNOW, Jr.

BETHLEHEM, NH  Joseph W. Snow, Jr., 74, of Bethlehem, NH died March 27, 2004.

He was born in Amesbury, Mass on June 13, 1929, the son of Joseph and Agnes (Cummings) Snow.

Joe completed 20 years of service in the U.S. Air Force as an inventory management technician, during which time he spent a tour of duty in Vietnam. Following his discharge from active duty, Joe worked for the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and Pease Air Force Base. In 1987 Joe was honored for completing 40 years of government service. He was a retired veteran who remained active in his local chapters of the DAV, Veterans of Foreign Wars, past commander of the American Legion, as well as the Knights of Columbus. He was a resident of Bethlehem for the past 9 years, previously living in Exeter, NH.

Joe enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and being involved with the Littleton Area Senior Center and delivering Meals on Wheels. Anyone who knew him though, knew he had a passion for political debates.

Family members include his wife of 33 years, Evelyn (Goodreau) Snow; two daughters, Linda Noyes of Bethlehem, NH and Debbie Richard of Lisbon, NH; two sons, Michael Snow of Amesbury, MA and Mark Snow of Groveland, MA; one brother, Charles Snow, Sr. of Amesbury, MA; two sisters, Virginia Snow of Stoneham, MA and Dorothy Dyson of Lexington, MA; 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. One brother and four sisters predeceased him.

SERVICES  The family with receive friends on Monday evening, March 29th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Pillsbury Funeral Home, 101 Union Street, Littleton, NH and Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Rogers Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 31st at 10:00 a.m. at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Amesbury, MA. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Littleton Area Senior Center or North Country Home Health and Hospice Agency and mailed to Linda Noyes, 99 Cottage Street, Bethlehem, NH 03574 for forwarding.
