Josephine H. Blixt

Josephine “Josie” H. Blixt, 85, of Manchester died March 20, 2005 at Elliot Hospital following a brief illness.<br><br>Mrs. Blixt was born on February 22, 1920 in Manchester. She was an extensive traveler, visiting domestic locations as well as Europe and the Caribbean. She cherished her grandchildren and enjoyed sharing her life stories with them. <br><br>Family members include; two sons, Raymond Blixt, FSC of Springfield Gardens, NY and Robert Blixt of Hooksett; one daughter, Phyllis Haley of Manchester; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Blixt who died in 1989.<br><br>IN HER LIFE: She leaves behind her loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Grandchildren; Richard and David Nuss, Megan, Matthew and Joshua Blixt. Great grandchildren; Tyler, Jarred, Logan, Elizabeth and Emilee Nuss. She was predeceased by her mother, Mary Skowron, and by a son, Richard Blixt who died in 1965 and by a daughter, Patricia Nuss who died in 1995.<br><br>Per her wishes, services will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Martin DePorres Youth Center, 136-25 218th Street, Springfield Gardens, NY 11413.<br><br>Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium is in charge of arrangements.<br>
