Josephine L. Dziura, 93, of Boscawen, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026 at Merrimack County Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving children.

Born in Franklin, NH, she is the daughter of the late Cornellius and Anna (Hannon) Lorden. Raised and educated in East Andover, Josie was involved in several social clubs and enjoyed playing basketball during her high school career. Josie met and married the love of her life, Charles “Charlie” Dziura, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage until his passing in 2012. Together, they raised five beautiful children while calling countless states and two countries home during Charlie’s Air Force career. After his retirement, they settled near Charlie's New Jersey family, in nearby Levittown, Pennsylvania. After spending ten years in PA, they lived a short while in Tennessee before returning to her home state of New Hampshire.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, caregiver and friend, Josie's family was paramount in her life. Well known for her sweet tooth, Josie always had dessert ready to serve before dinner was finished! Tender and kindhearted, Josie was a dedicated caregiver to many throughout the years, especially caring for her mother-in-law. Josie was a passionate gardener and enjoyed sewing and crocheting. An avid reader, she was often engrossed in a novel or Yankee magazine. Josie will be best remembered for her generous heart and love of family.

Josie is survived by her five children, Dorothy “Dotty” Hotin and husband Daniel of Manchester, Diane Humphrey and husband Doug of Tennessee, Denise Dziura of Tennessee, Catherine Morin and husband Rick of Manchester, and Charles “Chuck” Dziura and wife Deborah of Penacook; four grandchildren, April, Joseph, Zachary, and Emily; two step grandchildren, Dana and Derek; ten great grandchildren, Brandon, Ayden, Aurelia, Elliot, Nolan, Blair, Brielle, Kaitlyn, Grace, and Andrew; two great great grandchildren, Athena and Penelope; sister-in-law, Miriam Lorden; several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Josie was predeceased by her seven siblings, Connie, Bob, Helen, Dan, Bill, Mary and Johnny.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff at Merrimack County Nursing Home and Gerrish Manor for their compassionate and loving care.
