Joshua Stevenson, 35, of Manchester passed away at home unexpectedly on Monday, April 11, 2016.
Joshua was born in Derry on January 5, 1981, the son of Timothy and Renee (Desjardins) Stevenson. He attended Timberlane High School and completed his education at Job Corps in Vermont, specializing in forestry.
Described by friends and family as a thrill-seeking storyteller, Joshua possessed a great sense of humor and the ability to entertain everyone around him. Joshua also had a deep connection to nature. He enjoyed fishing and walks in the park, but his true passion was getting high up in the trees, the higher the better, which helped him greatly in his work as an arborist. Family was extremely important to Joshua and he will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
In addition to his loving parents, Joshua is survived by two brothers, Jonathan Desjardins and Aaron Stevenson; maternal grandparents, Richard and Raymone Desjardins; nephews, Logan, Dominic and Hunter Desjardins; an aunt, Audrey Desjardins; a cousin, Kaleigh Sloan; best friend and girlfriend, Melissa Landeck; and his dearest friend, Daniel Bourque. Joshua was predeceased by his brother, David Lee Stevenson and his aunt, Sonya Desjardins.
Family and friends are invited to gather Tuesday, April 19th, 11:00am-12:30pm at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue in Manchester. A memorial service will begin at 12:30pm in the funeral home chapel.
