Joyce Vivian (Griffin) Gosselin, 67, of 51 Columbus Street in Manchester, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011 peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Philip C. Gosselin for 44 years.
Joyce was born in Manchester, the daughter of the late Rachel and Levi Griffin also of Manchester and the sister of the late Matthew and Levi Griffin. She graduated from Memorial High School in 1961. She was a long tenured employee of Elliot Hospital where she ended her career as a Cancer Registrar.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her 3 sons: Kenneth Gosselin and his wife Linda of Weare, Charles Gosselin of Manchester and Russell Gosselin and his wife Meghan of North Attleboro, MA. She also leaves her sister-in-law, Paulette Griffin, and many nieces and nephews of the Griffin family. She was the loving grandmother of Matthew and Michelle Gosselin of Weare, NH. She enjoyed her gardens and had a love of animals.
The funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00 AM from the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, with a Mass of Christian Burial at the Parish of the Transfiguration at 10:00 AM, 305 Kelley Street at the corner of Youville Street. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester. The calling hours are on Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the funeral home.
