Joyce Louise, Wentzell (maiden)Kittredge, 82, died Wednesday, May 22, 2025 at Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. She was a longtime resident of Litchfield, NH and a devoted wife to William J. Kittredge Sr. for 59 years whom preceded her in death. Joyce was born on November 3rd, 1942 in Claremont, NH, the daughter of Maurice Wentzell and Doris Wentzell.

She was a graduate of Stevens High School and attended Hesser College where she received her associate’s degree. Joyce proudly served our country for twenty years as an Airforce wife, and was employed as a Supervisor at Raytheon before leaving workforce to manage the home and family she and William were so proud of.

Joyce was a woman of faith, and attended Baptist congregations throughout her life, her most recent Parish being The First Hudson Baptist Church.

Some of her most enjoyed hobbies included quilting, knitting, reading and playing the organ. Her biggest passion was her family. Spending time with her family meant so much to Joyce.

Joyce is survived by her three children along with their spouses, Melissa Lynn Hodge and husband Steve Hodge, Shari Lee O'Neill and husband Chris O’Neill, and William J. Kittredge, Jr and wife Kristen Kittredge., six grandchildren, Nevin Hodge, Mathew Plumley, Nichole Finley, Mia, Liam and Ryder Kittredge, four great-grandchildren, Shane Plumley and Sophia and Brayden Hodge and Myah Finley and sister Maureen Bracy. Joyce was predeceased by her brother Maurice R. Wentzell Jr. of Claremont; two sisters Barbara Wilson of Claremont, and Joan Clemens of Concord, NH.

Joyce’s life will be celebrated on Wednesday June 4, 2025, from 5pm-7pm at Phaneuf Funeral Home, located at 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH 03104.

She will be laid to rest with her husband William on Thursday June 5, 2025, at 10:00am at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.

In lieu of flowers and gifts of sympathy Joyce’s family has requested that donations be sent to Easter Seals NH Attn: Veterans Count 555 Auburn Street Manchester, NH 03103.
