Joyce Linda Kempf Leatherman

Joyce Linda Kempf Leatherman, 74, of Manchester, NH, passed away at home on March 20, 2025. Born in Brockton, MA on December 19, 1950, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Kempf Sr. and Mildred (Holbrook) Kempf. She shared 35+ years of marriage with her husband, Wilson Leatherman.

Joyce was raised in Brockton and Easton, MA and was a graduate of Easton High School. She moved to New Hampshire to attend Concord Technical College, where she studied nursing.

She thoroughly enjoyed caring for her patients during her nursing career, which included employment at the VA Hospital and later at Catholic Medical Center, where she worked for 23 years. Joyce enjoyed taking rides on her motorcycle and traveling all around the northeast taking photos of covered bridges. She was a member of CrossFit Earned for several years, joining later in life and serving as an inspiration to others with her dedication to the program. Joyce loved her family beyond measure and cherished her role as "Grammy Joyce".

Joyce is survived by her husband, Wilson Kratz Leatherman; her brothers, Dana Kempf and his wife Lori and Peter Kempf and his wife Lynn; her daughters by marriage, Kaera Sawler and her partner Mark Enea, Abby MacDonald and her husband Scotty, and Bethie Martin and her husband Andy; her grandchildren, Rebecca, Brenden, Nicolas, Brielle, James, Cash and Bear; her great-grandson, Aiden; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, Joyce was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph L. Kempf Jr. and David A. Kempf (surviving wife, Danielle).

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 31" from 1PM-3PM with Funeral Service at 3PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. She will be laid to rest in her final resting place in the mausoleum at Pine Grove Cemetery, 765 Brown Ave, Manchester, NH on April 3rd at 10AM.
