MANCHESTER Joyce P. (Boone) Peterson, 63, died Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at Catholic Medical Center, in Manchester, following a brief illness. She was born in Manchester, NH, on April 6, 1944, the daughter of the late Percival A. and Hazel I. (Roberge) Boone. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Peterson was employed for 30 years at Wau Ke Wan Thread Company, where she worked as a spinner. She was a communicant of St. Augustin Church, in Manchester. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Auxiliary, #1413 in Keene, and also was an active member and Past Ladies Auxiliary trustee of Fraternal Order of the Eagles, #290, in Manchester. Mrs. Peterson was a volunteer at Service New England. Her interests include; crocheting beautiful afghans, and needlepoint. Mrs. Peterson had a good sense of humor. Family members include; her husband of 24 years, David E. Peterson, of Manchester, 2 brothers, Raymond Boone, of Manchester; Roland Boone, of Raymond, NH; 1 sister, Eleanor Adams, of Louisiana; several nieces and nephews. SERVICES: Calling hours will be Sunday, October 28, from 2:00 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 9:00 P.M. at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, 10 A.M. at St. Augustin Church, Beech Street, in Manchester. Burial will take place at a later date at St. Augustin Cemetery, in Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the charity of ones choice, in memory of Mrs. Peterson.
