Judith E. Ames, 71, of Manchester, NH, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH. She was born on June 24, 1954, in Boston, MA, the daughter of George Farley and Ethel Farley (Doig). She was the wife of Robert Ames. 

Judith was a teacher in early childhood education. She loved guiding her students and was a wonderful and caring teacher. She had earned her Master's Degree in early childhood education at Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, MA. 

You could always find Judith reading a good book as it was one of her favorite hobbies. She also loved sewing and quilting, but most of all, she loved being a mom. 

Judith is survived by her loving husband, Robert Ames, of Manchester, NH; son Andrew Ames of Manchester, NH; daughter Sarah Ames of Michigan; sisters Barbara Nichols of Dorchester, MA, and Kathleen Tracklmavitch of Lawrence, MA. 

Assisting the family with arrangements is Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Manchester. There will be a Memorial Mass on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Parish, 172 Belmont Street, Manchester, NH 03103. The family welcomes all to join them. After the Mass, there will be a Celebration of Life at the DoubleTree By Hilton at 700 Elm Street, Manchester, NH at 12:30 p.m. for immediate family.
