Judith (Gastone) Borovicka, 77, of Goffstown, NH lost her battle with dementia on 10/3/2025, while at a memory care facility in Bedford, NH surrounded by her family. Judy was born in Springfield Mass., a single child to Leo and Nora Gastone.

Judy met her husband Bob while working summers at Carville's Restaurant in Holland, Mass where her parents owned a cottage. Judy graduated from Bay Path University in Springfield, MA.

Judy is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Robert Borovicka and their three children: Jennifer Borovicka and husband Steve McLain, of Sanbornton, NH; Jeffrey Borovicka and wife Dianna of Manchester, CT; and Christopher Borovicka and wife Stephanie of Londonderry, NH; three grandchildren, Amanda Borovicka of Vernon, CT, Cailin and Nicholas Borovicka of Londonderry, NH.

Judy embraced the importance of education, enrolling her children, first in parochial school at St. Edward's in Stafford Springs, CT and then at her own alma mater—Cathedral in Springfield, MA. For nine years, Judy transported the children to high school while working as a receptionist at various doctor's offices. All of her children went on to college and were then successful in their respective careers.

After getting her children off to a good start, Judy went back to college at Eastern CT State University in Windham, CT with her husband, Bob. Both graduated with a four year degree in Business Administration.

For fun times, Judy enjoyed teaching crafts at St. Edward's School. For herself she did Folk Art, sewed clothes and curtains and spent many hours exercising then going to the coffee shop with her friend, Debbie.

When the kids were young, summers were spent at Sun Valley in Stafford, CT with swimming lessons and picnics with the neighbors on holidays. As the children got older, camping at Moose Meadow in Willington, CT became the norm. Still later, vacations moved to vacation rentals at Winnipesaukee in NH.

Judy will be missed for her sharp political wit and quick thinking be it in card games or trivia.

There are no calling hours and memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers or memorial donations, help educate a child, they are our future.
