JUDITH "SCOOTER" PELOTTE DEXTER

HOOKSETT, NH – Judith "Scooter" Pelotte Dexter, 67, passed away Saturday evening on 28, January 2017, at home after a short bout with cancer peacefully in her sleep, with her husband and children by her side. Scooter was born in Whitefield, NH 28, April 1949, the daughter of Clayton F. and Margaret Moody Pelotte. She moved to Texas with her parents at a young age and back to Whitefield when she was in her teens. She was in the first class to graduate from White Mountains Regional High School in 1968. Her design was chosen for the "Spartan" Mascot.

She worked twenty years for K-Mart in various locations, six years managing a convenience store for Lambert Oil Company in Virginia, thirteen years as a Field Merchandiser for Cumberland Farms where she traveled all through New England. She liked working as a Field Merchandiser, often saying "it was the best job she ever had."

In 2012, congestive heart failure set her back. She had to have open heart surgery with five bypasses, unfortunately she was not able to return to work.

She enjoyed many hobbies including bingo, crafts, puzzles, and connecting with friend and family on Facebook, most of all her grandchildren.

Family members include her husband of 47 years, Brian A. Dexter of Hooksett, NH; four children, Brianna and husband Christian Boedding of New Orleans, LA, Charisma Campbell and Chad Ray of Marion, VA, Markaya Dexter and James Rhea of Marion, VA, Austin Dexter and Beth Robinson of Marion, VA; eleven grandchildren, Blake Dexter, Bethany Richardson, Trey Dexter, Ashleigh Gilley, Kyle Gilley, Charish "Shay" Campbell, Derek Dexter, Kristofer Bodding, Myka Boedding, Dakota Ray, Kacie Ray; two great-grandchildren: Gabriel DeCecca and Jay Bodding; two brothers, Donald Pelotte and Clayton F. Pelotte of Dunedin, FL, and one sister, Barbara Bernal of Houston, TX.
