Judith A. (Perry) Fillis, 63, of Auburn, passed away peacefully in her home on February 14th, 2021 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Judi was born in Winchester, Massachusetts on July 8th, 1957 to Walter L. Perry and Anna (Smith) Perry. She spent her early years in Medford and Wilmington, Massachusetts before moving to Derry, NH where she met her husband. They settled in Auburn, NH for 41 years where they raised two daughters.
Her generosity, selflessness, and love of others are only a few of the amazing qualities she possessed. Judi had a smile that would light up the room and made friends with such ease. Judi had a love of animals and over the course of her life kept quite the menagerie including, but not limited to, horses, geese, goats, dogs, and several cats who were often strays that showed up on her doorstep. She was a lover of nature and enjoyed gardening and walks in the woods to the beaver dam behind her home. Most importantly, she was an amazing grandmother and doted on her five beloved grandchildren.
Judi was predeceased by her parents and brother, Brian N. Perry. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Peter J. Fillis of Auburn; two children, Danielle M. (Fillis) Evans and her husband Richard R. Evans of Somerville, MA and Stacie A. (Fillis) Veilleux and her husband Michael E. Veilleux of Weare; and five grandchildren, Ethan, Owen, Brynna, Emily and Flory.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 19th at 11am at Great Hill Cemetery, Sandown Road, Chester, NH.
