Judith "Jutz" George

Judith Lynn George, aged 68, passed on October 9th, 2024, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston Massachusetts after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was born on August 14th, 1956, at Concord Hospital. She was the beloved daughter of late Leonard L George, Sr. and Gail Ann George of Hopkinton, NH.

Judy graduated from Hopkinton High School, where she was the president of her graduating class of 1974. From that moment on she spent the rest of her life developing her talents as a professional leader in the Insurance Industry in NH. She spent most of her career & loved working for Cross Insurance in Manchester, NH. She was the former Vice President of Associates for New Hampshire Home Builders Association (NHHBA), and previously held a position on the YMCA NH Board of Director's and President of the Insurance Agents of New Hampshire, as well as being active in many other Associations and Contractor Events.  

Judy was the President of the Hopkinton High Alumni Association and was happy to attend her 50th class reunion this past summer. She was a huge advocate for cancer research and counseled many other survivors throughout their journeys. She was invited to share her personal story many times over the years with large audiences to inspire others to have faith and hope. Judy will be remembered for her strength, grace, and kindness throughout her life.

She was predeceased by her parents, her uncles and aunts Barry Regal, Jim and Sharon Pastway, Richard and Eleanor George, Charles and Beverly George, and the recent passing of her beloved cousin Mckenzie O'Hare. 

Judy was survived by her brother Leonard (Chip) George, Jr. wife Jodi, and their two children, Emily Soloman and Ryan Hayes; her two sisters Debbie Phelps and partner Kevin Schmitt, and Jolynne and Edward Sullivan along with her nieces Megan and Scott Jacobs, Jill Lavallee, and Jamie Cleaves; and nephew Chris Sullivan. She is also survived by many loving George and Regal cousins and their families. She also is survived by many lifelong loyal friends who supported Judy throughout her journey. 

SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 4-7 pm at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and crematoriums located at 243 Hanover St. Manchester, NH. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 11 am at the Brookside Congregational Church located at 2013 Elm St. Manchester, NH. A reception will directly follow the memorial service at the Historic Manning House connected to the church. Family and friends are invited to attend.
